Best Ways to Stay Safe According to the Red Cross:
-
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in a public place or blowing your nose, sneezing or coughing. Or at least use hand sanitizers with 60% alcohol (but washing hands is the best).
-
Avoid close contact with sick people, stay home as much as possible, avoid non-essential travel.
-
Practice social distancing by keeping 6 feet away from each other
-
Cover your mouth and nose with cloth face cover as well as cover coughs and sneezes
-
Clean and disinfect surfaces frequently touched surfaces daily
-
Please understand the quarantine guidelines of your houses and who to contact if you contract COVID-19.
-
Please get tested if you exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone who has a confirmed case.
If You Test Somewhere off Campus, Please Contact the University in Order to Track the Number of Cases on Campus: (510) 643-8227 (Their Confidential Health Phone Number).
What do I do if I Test Positive?
-
Contact your chapter President and any officers in the chain in command regarding public health and let them know that you tested positive
-
Connect with sisters and people you have been around lately and let them know you tested positive
-
Isolate for the government-mandated period
-
Wear a mask around your sisters and do not attend in-person events
-
Take care of yourself! Help yourself recover by hydrating, having lots of sleep, and eating nutritious food.
